Abstract In therecent years, there have been significant advancements in every form oftechnology available and no one can deny the impact it has had in our qualityof lives. As part of this project, we have tried to analyze the role ofinformation technology in the different facets of human lives and investigatethe different ways in which technology has improved the way we transact witheach other. Be it education, healthcare, business, tourism or any other sectorfor that matter, technology has had an immense impact on the way things work.
In this project report, we hope to cover a few of these domains and explain howtechnology has benefitted mankind and improved the quality of human lives. Modern technology has completely revolutionized the way inwhich people live their lives today. From communication technology to nucleartechnology, it has become an integral part of our lives we cannot live without. In the past few decades there has been a revolution in informationtechnology, and all indications are that the technological progress and use of IT/ISwill continue at a rapid pace. Technologyis becoming increasingly personalized with various gadgets such as mobilephones, laptops and tablets being designed to meet the unspoken demands ofpeople. And all of this has been possible due to the increasing amount ofinformation that we are able to gather, process and make accessible for others.
One of the most significant outcomes of the growth ofinformation and communication technology is probably e-commerce over theInternet, a new and innovative way of conducting business. Although it startedonly a couple of years ago, it has radically altered the economic activities, socialenvironment and the way people transact with each other. Already, it affectssuch large sectors as communications, retail trade, finance, education andhealth services and might expand to other areas as well. Other big technological innovations / breakthroughtechnologies include reversing paralysis, self-driving trucks, face detectingpayment systems etc.
