Incubation of adult withthe lower concentrations (10, 20 mg/ml) was presented with an effect similar tothat of praziquantel, in the form of irregular movements and upnormal bodyattitude. Three- 24 hour after incubation, adult worms exhibited significantimmobilization with weak infrequent contraction of oral sucker.

The killingeffect of (10, 20, mg/ml) SYN started from the 3rd hr. ofincubation, by 41.7%, 58.3 %, respectively. Comparedto praziquantel, higher concentrations (40, 60, 80) were significantly morepotent and rapidly acting. Worms were deformed, elongated with total loss ofbody tone. At time point of lost motor activity for 30 sec.

, worms wereconsidered dead. Death rate was 16.7%, 25%, 50% after I hr. incubation then percentagesincreased to 75%, 83.3%, 100% within I day incubation with these concentrationsrespectively. They reached a total 100% death with all SYN preparations by theend of experiment (48 hrs incubation).  AdultSchistosomes in control group survived till the end of the experiment withnormal morphological features.

In the same context, 5mg/ml concentration of SYNshowed delayed response with 16.7 % mortality rate and motility score () afterone day of incubation (fig. eman elfar)  Juvenile Stages. After I hr. ofincubation of 3-hour-old schistosomula with all SYN preparations, diminishedmotor activity soon was observed (fig eman eelfar). Number of dead worms roserapidly with time & dose dependent style, reaching 100% lethal effect onthe 1st day of exposure to (10, 20, 40, 60 80) concentrations andthe second day of exposure to (5mg/ml). Significant effect of the dose 20mg/mlSYN was detected statistically.

 The 21-day-old schistosomula responded significantly toincubation with 40, 60, 80 mg/ml. within 1 hour of exposure, the worm bodyextended rapidly and showed gradual decline in motility (score 3-to-1), till nomovement was detected after 1 day incubation (fig Eman elfar). When theconcentration of SYN were lowered to (5, 10, 20) worms started to respond afterthe 3rd hr. of incubation with faint body twitches and completedeath of all worms was reported by the end of the second day.
