“You wanted this case, well you’ve got it.
It isn’t easy saving the world even one case at a time, but you stick with it. You might have a knack for it. Don’t do what I did. Don’t quit.”To become the best one must follow a path of hard work and dedication. Most people follow the quickest or easiest path.
Many people take short cuts in life looking for an easy way out. When things get hard, they quit. Then they find an excuse or someone to blame for their misfortune.
It can be difficult to stay motivated when work becomes a grueling every day task. Those who are dedicated persevere through the hard times and succeed. Whatever you want to be the best at, three things you must have are a good work ethic, focused mindset, and a detailed plan. Some people are natural athletes.
They’ve always been the fastest sprinters or the highest jumpers. However many of these people become slackers on teams because they don’t feel the need to practice as hard as the other players. Over time those less talented with a strong work ethic will surpass the others in skill. To truly become the best, one must workout everyday.
When everyone else is out partying, you are working out. The most important thing to remember is to practice at game speed. Many people workout at a half-assed speed. Then these people wonder why they played so bad come game time. Every single practice must be played like it’s the championship game.Accordingly the mental aspect may be the most important part of training whether trying to become a basketball player, musician, or anything.
Without being focused mentally, work ethic means nothing. There will always be people better than you. Other people will be saying you’ll never make the team. Many times these things will deter people from even bothering to try.
Athletes like Michael Jordon turn these negatives around and use them as motivation. Instead of hindering their progress it makes them work harder. If one fails to make the team this year, use that as motivation to work harder so that doesn’t happen next year. Staying motivated every day is a task many cannot accomplish.
Being able to give 100 percent every single day rain or shine is all mental. This is what allows an athlete to rise up to another level over their competition.Equally as important as the previous two points is having a detailed and well thought out plan.
Having a thorough plan of daily events for the entire week allows the process become much simpler. Without a daily plan one may become unorganized, which in turn makes it much harder to stay focused. Moreover no matter how strong one’s work ethic is, it does no good when they do not know what to workout. This is why many athletes have personal trainers to tell them exactly what to do every day.
These athletes have a strong work ethic, however they need someone to make a workout plan for them otherwise they might rarely workout.A combination for these three important skills will compose a winner out of anybody. The majority of people do not possess these qualities. Which is turn is why many people quit when work becomes hard. One must have a hunger to win and the passion to play as their mindset. This motivates the athlete to work out to their full potential every single day. Many talented and skilled people lose this motivation.
Then they decide to quit and blame someone for it. In the quote it explains that whatever you may be trying to do, it may not be easy, but no matter what, do not quit.
