Thepoems Disabled by Wilfred Owen and ‘Out, out’ by Robert Frost were created inthe early nineteen hundreds during the first world war, these two poems were writtenwith the strong idea of tragedy presenting them a lot during the story. WilfredOwen used to be a poet and also served as a soldier during world war one, Owenwas a very straight forward and real poet, he was mostly known for his harshviews on the war which contrasted what people thought of it during that periodof time, he also differed compared to his colleagues as they had a verypositive view on this matter, by describing the conditions of the trenches andthe horrible living conditions.

He hooks the readers by using many differentwriting techniques. Frost was also a poet, although American who was very knownas well for his poems on life in the rural parts of his native country, thispoet also uses harsh language in his poems to show the tough reality of war andthe tragedy of it as he does in ‘Out, out’. So both of these poets are similarin some ways and different in others in order to show the same thing, being thetragedy caused by war.Tragedyis conveyed in the poem ‘Disabled’ through a war veteran recuperating fromserious wounds that left him in a wheel chair.
