Video games, the 2017 football. The icon of the modern day. Well what if video games had its own day, I know stupid. Anyway on this day people observe video games. Video game players across the United States enjoy this day with much enthusiasm. As they treat video games like a form of art. Like honestly I think people are just getting bored at this point. The day is every September 12th, once a year. Wait. Wait. Wait a second… right here it says “video game day” is on July 18 right under national video game day. Why do we need two video game days, all it does is make you yell at your TV screen. On this day people basically acknowledge video games and their beutiful aspects. This is when you gather around with your friends and have and excuse for your mom to play video games all day. If you are feeling extra spiritual than you go to a video game convention, where alot of nerds gather and play world of warcraft. You will also have to dress up and look like you like video games, if you want to go without anyone looking at you weirdly. Oh, and don’t forget about your nerd repellent.National Games Day was started by Jenny Levine and Scott Nicholson in 2007. This free event created an idea to attempt to set a world’s record for the number of people playing the same game at the same time at libraries around the world. National Games Day became huge nationwide. It has grown to include events on all seven continents. Even today, it is still raising awareness of gaming in libraries, freking libraries, to publishers. This event has become a valuable way for people to join together and engage in play each year.People on this day wear clothes of their favorite video game printed on it. They also wear costumes of their favorite video game or video game character. People even carry their favorite video game items or weapons with them, as they also carry their console around for no absolute reason. Also on this day, people eat normal foods, what ever the convention gives them, such as burgers, pizza, or your own food that you bring.
